This week we are delighted to announced our first speakers at our 2025 Upside US Sports Tech Summit in Miami. We have a lot more speakers (teams, leagues, vendors, VCs, team owners, athletes) across various leagues (NBA, NFL, MLS, MLB, NCAA, pro tennis..) to be announced.

ββββAs Director of Sport Science at the University of Miami, Eric Renaghan leverages 15 years of elite sport experience to advance evidence-based athletic development programming for Miami Football and Track & Field. His career includes serving as Head of Sport Performance for the 2019 Stanley Cup Champion St. Louis Blues, performance roles with the Vancouver Canucks and San Jose Sharks, and an international leadership role as High-Performance Advisor to the Italian Ice Hockey Federation. Renaghan holds a Master of Science in Human Performance from Lindenwood University and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from San Jose State University. He is currently completing doctoral studies in Applied Physiology, furthering his commitment to research-driven performance enhancement.ββββββββββββββββ
Andrea Hudy, PhD, is the director of sports performance for UCONN women basketball team (NCAA). She has previously held coaching roles with the Texas Longhorns and the Kansas Jayhawks. In 2017, the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) honored Andrea with the Impact Award, given to an individual whose career has greatly contributed to the advancement of the national or international strength and conditioning or fitness industries. In the summer of 2014, her book, Power Positions, was published. In January 2013, she was named the National College Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year by the NSCA for her dedication to improving athletic performance with safe and effective science-based programs. Hudy graduated from Maryland in 1994 with a bachelorβs degree in kinesiology. She earned a masterβs degree in sport biomechanics from UConn in 1999 and an MBA from Kansas in 2019.
Stevland Wilson is a highly accomplished media and entertainment professional with nearly 25 years of experience as a producer, director, show creator, executive, and entrepreneur. He has worked with major networks such as ABC News, CBS Sports, ESPN, and Hearst Television, excelling in storytelling, innovative production, and leveraging emerging technologies. As Vice President of Postproduction & Creative Services at Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE), Stevland oversees game presentation, original content, and fan engagement, blending creativity and leadership to drive exceptional results. His award-winning career reflects a versatile skill set, entrepreneurial spirit, and unwavering dedication to shaping the media and entertainment landscape. MSE owns and operates five professional sports teams: NBA's Washington Wizards, NBA G Leagueβs Capital City Go-Go, NBA 2K Leagueβs Wizards District Gaming, the 2018 NHL STANLEY CUP CHAMPION Washington Capitals and the WNBA's Washington Mystics.
Konrad von Moltke currently serves as the Principal of WISE Ventures, the investment arm of the Wilf family β owners of the Minnesota Vikings (NFL), Orlando City SC and Pride (MLS / NWSL) and Garden Homes (real estate development), among other holdings. Konrad focuses on venture capital and growth equity investing across sports, media, entertainment, and real estate and adjacent sectors, as well as special projects across the familyβs strategic assets. Prior to joining WISE Ventures Konrad served as an Associate at Tailwind Capital, a NYC based private equity platform focused on investments in industrial services, healthcare services and technology and business services sectors. Before that he was an Analyst in Deutsche Bankβs Leveraged Finance Investment Banking Group. Konrad received his BA in Economics from Dartmouth College where he was captain of the swim team, and he received his MBA from Stanford Universityβs Graduate School of Business.
Andrew Hippert is the Investment Principal for the Techstars Sports Accelerator Powered by Indy, where he leads program management, sourcing startups, and building relationships with over 250 mentors and investors. Since launching the inaugural sports accelerator in 2019, he has overseen a portfolio of 65+ companies that have collectively raised over $100M in venture funding. Andrew also manages the U.S. One-Zero Sports & Entertainment Summit, connecting top sports VCs and founders worldwide. Previously, Andrew worked with the Washington Wizards and Catholic University of America, driving revenue growth and leading athletic recruitment efforts. He has contributed to community initiatives like the Hope for Stanley program and the African Scholar Athlete Games and authored the 2013 NBA Racial & Gender Report Card.
A New England Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, Andrew holds dual masterβs degrees from the University of Central Florida and a bachelorβs degree from Bowdoin College. He resides in West New York, NJ.
Dr Andy Barr is the CEO of Quantum Movement. He is also a Movement, Biomechanics & Physical Therapy Consultant for the MSG Group (NY Knicks/NBA, NY Liberty/WNBA). He previously worked for a number of NBA (Brooklyn Nets). MLS (NYFC) and Premier League teams (Chelsea fc, Manchester City fc).
Kim Brouzes, a Canadian Athletic Therapist and Acupuncturist with 25 years of experience, works with athletes from community to Olympic levels. She owns two multidisciplinary clinics and co-owns Move Medicine, a unique sports medicine and concussion clinic in Northern Ontario. Known for her problem-solving abilities, Kim has spearheaded initiatives like providing RVs for frontline workers during COVID and remains a strong advocate for her community. Now CEO of Kinmetrix, a groundbreaking sports tech company, which built he revolutionary neck strengthening device taking the sport industry by storm, Kim also serves as a faculty member at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine and speaks at elite sports industry events (PHATS, ACTIV Summit). In her downtime, she enjoys Northern Ontarioβs outdoors with her husband and three daughters.
Ismael FernΓ‘ndez Cuevas is an MBA, PhD in Sport Science (topic: exercise and infrared thermography) and ThermoHuman CEO and co-founder. He gathers academic (33 scientific articles published and experience as researcher and lecturer in different universities), professional (thermography advisor in different disciplines and high performance teams like Newcastle United, US Soccer, FC Barcelona or Bayer Leverkusen) and international experience (63 countries visited, working experience in 7 of them and fluent in 7 languages).
Dr. Christy Fernandez-Cull is the CEO and founder of DaVinci Wearables. Previously she led the sensing and perception systemβs teams at Waymo - formerly Google Self-Driving. She was also the Head of Sensors at Lyft Level 5 Self-Driving Division, leading sensor architecture for Lyft vehicle platforms β designing machine eyes to help transform transportation of the future. Prior to Lyft, she was a technologist at Apple spanning autonomous systems and the Camera and Depth Hardware team that released the first-of-kind Light Detection and Ranging module in the 2020 iPad. She has spanned both the development of Defense technologies at MIT Lincoln Laboratory and at-scale consumer-product technologies at Apple. She is a technology advisor to multiple VCs and startups in the areas of sensors and systems for security, robotics, autonomous vehicles and digital health and wearables. She received her MS and Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Duke University and MBA from MIT and enjoys mentorship and serving as a guest lecture at MIT / Media Lab and recruiting in STEM/STEAM fields.
