This week we are delighted to announced our new speakers at our 2025 Upside US Sports Tech Summit in Sunrise, FL We have a lot more speakers (teams, leagues, vendors, VCs, team owners, athletes) across various leagues (NBA, WNBA, NFL, MLS, NWSL, MLB, NCAA, pro tennis..) to be announced. This week’s new speakers are: Bill Chapman, an Emmy® Award-winning live director and producer at Warner Bros Discovery; Pawel Osterreicher, the Co-Founder & CEO of Respo.Vision; Shaun Jayachandran, AI Basketball Expert and Basketball and Product Advisor, at GameRun.ai; and Jeff Hintz, the Executive Director of Sports Tech HQ; and Dave McConnell, the High performance director of the Utah Mammoth, a top NHL team.
Bill and Pawel will be speaking on the panel on our new panel on the future of AI based fan engagement. Jeff will be moderating the panel on unlocking the ROI in sports tech investments. We are also introducing a new panel on the future of injury reduction by 2030 where Marco, Stefan, Shaun, Dave, and Carlos will be speaking on it.
Bill Chapman is an Emmy® Award-winning live director and producer whose career has spanned the NFL, NBA Digital, and the Olympic Games. For nearly two decades, he shaped in-venue experiences with the Atlanta Falcons, produced fan interaction at Super Bowls, and helped pioneer second-screen innovations at NBA Digital and Turner Sports with interactive broadcasts like NBA on TNT Overtime and the NBA All-Star Game. His work has consistently redefined how fans engage with live sports across stadiums, broadcasts, and digital platforms.
On the global stage, Chapman contributed to multiple Olympic Games, from Atlanta 1996 to PyeongChang 2018, connecting worldwide audiences through live coverage and storytelling. Today, at Warner Bros. Discovery, he continues to push the boundaries of sports production, advancing innovations in cloud-based workflows, VR/AR, and AI while keeping the focus on one goal: enhancing the sports experience by putting fans at the center.
Pawel Osterreicher is the Co-Founder & CEO of Respo.Vision, a computer vision startup democratizing access to data in sports and media industries. Pawel has many years of experience in the implementation and management of AI projects, particularly in the field of Computer Vision. Prior to founding ReSpo.Vision, Pawel served as Chief Revenue Officer at deepsense.ai, a leading Polish artificial intelligence company, and before that spent 7 years as a consultant and manager at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). His personal interests are history, philosophy and of course, all things sports.
Jeff Hintz is the Vice President of Innovation at Indiana Sports Corp and the Executive Director of Sports Tech HQ, a nonprofit focused on building Indiana into a global hub for sports technology. With over 20 years in sports and event leadership, he’s guided high-profile projects for PGA of America (including the Ryder Cup and PGA Championship), served as Executive Director of the Minnesota PGA, and directed major event operations like the 2022 College Football Playoff and NBA 2K League season in Indianapolis. An Indianapolis native, Hintz holds a bachelor’s in Sports Marketing & Management from Indiana University and an Executive MBA from Quantic.
Dave McConnell is the High Performance Director of the Utah Mammoth (NHL team), where he oversees all aspects of athlete preparation, recovery, and performance optimization. With a background in sports science and years of experience working with elite athletes across multiple sports, he integrates cutting-edge technology, data-driven insights, and individualized training programs to maximize player potential and reduce injury risk. McConnell is known for building strong collaboration between medical, coaching, and performance staff, ensuring that athletes are supported holistically on and off the field. His leadership has helped position the Mammoth at the forefront of high-performance innovation in professional lacrosse.
Shaun Jayachandran – AI Basketball Expert | Basketball and Product Advisor, GameRun.ai. Shaun is an AI Basketball Expert and Basketball/Product Advisor for GameRun.ai, a cutting-edge platform that democratizes access to high-level coaching analysis and scouting, while reimagining how teams, players, parents, and coaches leverage video and technology to maximize performance and development. With a background spanning product, education, coaching, and nonprofit leadership, Shaun brings a unique blend of technical insight and human-centred design to the rapidly evolving world of sports technology. Before joining GameRun.ai, Shaun founded Hoops Creating Hope, a globally recognized nonprofit using basketball as a bridge for education and social change. His work has impacted thousands of young people across India while shaping his vision for how AI can democratize access, improve decision-making, and transform the future of the game.
