We are excited to announce another panel at our event where we are bringing elite level coaches to provide insights into how they navigate the balance between the art of coaching and the science of coaching. In the current sports landscape of vastly increasing amounts of data and analysis, this panel will talk about their methodological approach and how this is affected or influenced by the interdisciplinary teams of people they work with.”
Here is the synopsis for the panel on The art and science of coaching.which will be a Q&A format.
This panel of experienced coaches will discuss these specific areas in the balancing act of delivering impactful coaching:
When they lean on the art of coaching for when the “feel” tell's them something alternatively needs to be done.
Describing how a constructed syllabus can elevate the individual coaches ability to help their players while maintaining the humanistic skills required for great people management on the journey.
How they lean on the science of coaching for when game performance is not as it should be to ensure emotional boundaries are kept and context is maintained.
Discussion around the best use of when reactive coaching is appropriate as well as when proactive as the right approach.
How they assess when to deviate from their core methodological beliefs.
We plan to announce the speakers and the moderator in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!
