This week we are delighted to announced our new speakers at our 2025 Upside US Sports Tech Summit in Sunrise, FL We have a lot more speakers (teams, leagues, vendors, VCs, team owners, athletes) across various leagues (NBA, WNBA, NFL, MLS, NWSL, MLB, NCAA, pro tennis..) to be announced. This weekβs new speakers are Cory Price, the Director of Medical & Performance at the Orlando Pride (NWSL), Manfredi San Germano, Founder & CEO, Beyond Blood Diagnostics (HypoXcell), and Erin Angelini, the Director of Rehabilitation for the Orlando Pride. Cory will be speaking on the panel on women teams while Erin will be speaking on the panel on the science of comebacks. Manfredi will be speaking on the panel on next gen sports biomarkers.
New speaker:
Cory Price, PT, DPT, SCS, CSCS, joined the Orlando Pride staff as its Director of Medical & Performance prior to the 2023 NWSL season. He has helped countless players overcome minor and major injuries to ensure that when they step onto the pitch they are as fit as they have ever been. Price is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of medical and physical performance, sports science, performance psychology and nutrition across the Club. He also works in close collaboration with Orlando Health, the official medical team of the Pride, to help with any appointments or tests needed for any athlete. Price is an experienced and board-certified Sports Physical Therapist with a demonstrated history of working in the hospital, healthcare and sports industries. He has been affiliated with the American Physical Therapy Association and the National Strength and Conditioning Association, being instrumental in multiple research projects as well as serving as a presenter at different symposiums, schools and conferences all around the country.
New speakers:
Manfredi San Germano is the founder & CEO, Beyond Blood Diagnostics (HypoXcell). He is a scientist-turned sports-tech founder and creator of HypoXcell, a portable blood-intelligence platform from Beyond Blood Diagnostics. He launched Beyond Blood in 2022 to bring lab-grade blood analysis to the training ground, turning a finger-prick into real-time insights.
Rooted in microfluidics and AI, his work converts biomarkers into clear training calls that optimize adaptation, monitor recovery, and improve results across endurance and team sports. During his PhD, he contributed at Imperial College London to a portable blood-counter concept that seeded the companyβs core technology. His R&D leadership, Beyond Blood diagnostics has earned several international and Innovate UK awards along with funding of over USD $8M to help move innovation from lab to field-ready performance analytics.
Based in London but with a global customer base, Beyond Blood aims to make elite blood data as accessible as GPS or heart rate so athletes can align training, travel, altitude, and recovery with what the blood shows.
Erin Angelini, PT, DPT, SCS, CPSS, is the Director of Rehabilitation for the Orlando Pride of the National Womenβs Soccer League. She brings extensive experience as a physical therapist across high school, collegiate, and professional sports, and contributes to postgraduate education for physical therapy students and sports residency programs. In her current role, Erin leverages technology and sports science to optimize rehabilitation, drive data-informed results, and ensure athletes return to play at their highest level, while also supporting the overall health and fitness of the roster. She completed her sports residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2021 and earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Lebanon Valley College in 2019.
