Upside is proud to be helping Austin Peay State University put together its inaugural Health and Performance Summit—bringing together leaders in sports science, clinical care, tactical performance and human optimization.

The summit will feature nationally recognized experts, including Dr. Andy Barr, Spencer Posey (Garmin), Dr. Bill Burgos, experienced NBA S&C Coach, and LONU CEO, Paul Robbins, NBA Performance data scientist, Chris Dunaway, International Director of athleticism and Performance at the Los Angeles Dodgers (MLB).

Dr. Burgos is an experienced NBA strength and conditioning coach who has worked with organizations including the Orlando Magic, New York Knicks and Minnesota Timberwolves. He has also worked in Minor League Baseball with the Pittsburgh Pirates, serves as an adjunct professor at APSU and is CEO of LONU, a next-generation AI-powered nutrition platform.
Dr Andy Barr is the president of Quantum Movement, a leading biomechanics and movement analysis and training software for practitioners. Andy has worked in the NBA and professional soccer for 25 years. He has worked for teams such as New York Knicks (NBA), NY Liberty (WNBA), the Brooklyn Nets (NBA), Manchester City (Premier League), Chelsea (Premier League), and NYFC (MLS).
Chris Dunaway is the International Director of Athleticism and Performance for the Los Angeles Dodgers (MLB), where he supports the development, preparation and physical performance of athletes across the organization. He brings extensive professional baseball experience, having previously held strength-and-conditioning roles with the Dodgers, Baltimore Orioles and Pittsburgh Pirates. His expertise spans performance programming, nutrition, injury rehabilitation and the development of systems that help athletes perform consistently at the highest level
Spencer Posey is Garmin’s Military and Human Performance Lead, where he connects wearable technology and performance data with the needs of defense, sport and high-performance organizations. A U.S. Army veteran with 15 years of experience, he has served as an infantry sergeant, contributed to the Army’s Holistic Health and Fitness program and led large interdisciplinary teams. His work focuses on using biometric insights to improve readiness, recovery and physical performance across military and civilian populations.
Paul Robbins is an NBA performance data scientist who specializes in transforming complex player-tracking data into practical insights for coaches and performance teams. His work examines workload, movement intensity, fatigue and recovery to support smarter training and athlete-management decisions throughout the demanding NBA season. Combining expertise in exercise science, coaching and analytics, Paul helps teams translate numbers into actionable strategies that improve performance while protecting player health.

The summit is designed for strength and conditioning coaches, athletic trainers, clinicians, rehabilitation specialists, collegiate performance staff, gym owners and military professionals—including those connected to the U.S. Army’s Holistic Health and Fitness initiatives at Fort Campbell.
With its intentionally intimate format, the event will offer meaningful opportunities to learn, exchange ideas and build relationships with practitioners, industry leaders and decision-makers.

We are planning to host the summit at a major stadium. The event will bring together leading organizations from Ligue 1, the Premier League, La Liga, international rugby, basketball, the NBA, MLS, the NFL, and other elite sports.
We are working on organizing additional Upside events (VIP Dinners..) with major leagues and teams in the US and Europe in 2026 and 2027.
