โBy using Jugoโs cutting-edge technology, we can now offer unrivalled supporter engagement experiences, globally,โ said Juliet Slot, Arsenalโs chief commercial officer. โOur relationship with supporters is at the heart of everything we do, and Jugo will allow us to further connect with our Arsenal family across the world.โ
โฌ๏ธ The Upside: We believe that this is a good move by Arsenal fc. Arsenal fc has a worldwide fan base of more than 113 million people. So this should help improve the fans experience for Arsenal fc fans located abroad. We expect other teams to follow suit in the coming months as a way to better engage with their fans abroad.
๐Candy Digital Pushes Forward With New MLB NFTs After Fanatics Divestment | Via : Decrypt
Major League Baseball is releasing new 2023 season digital collectibles with Candy Digital, the NFT startup thatโs entering its third season as an official MLB partner. Candy Digital was founded in 2021 as the NFT market surged to new heights, but faced challenges in late 2022 and at the start of this year.
The firm laid off more than one-third of its approximately 100-person team in November 2021, a source confirmed toย Decrypt, and then this past January, Fanaticsย sold its roughly 60% majority stake in Candy to a group led by Galaxy Digital.
โฌ๏ธ The Upside: We think it makes sense for the MLB to team up with Candy Digital as part of its overall NFT/Web 3.0 strategy. However it remains to be seen if Candy Digital will survive and remain in business for the long run given its current challenges. You can check out our full analysis on the NFT sports market (trends, vendor ecosystem, recommendations to teams) here. You can also check out our sports metaverse ecosystem analysis here.

โ Aktiia blood pressure wearable matches cuff in new study | Via : Wareable
Aktiia, the cuffless blood pressure tracking wearable, has shown comparable results to traditional cuff, a new study has revealed. The study, published by Hypertension Research, compared the results of ABPM and Aktiia monitor in measuring blood pressure and heart rate in 50 sessions of 52 patients.
No significant differences were found in measuring daytime systolic blood pressure (SBP) compared to a traditional cuff. And while it found some differences in daytime diastolic blood pressure (DBP) when compared to ABPM, these were deemed to be not statistically significant. Systolic blood pressure (SBP) is the highest pressure in the arteries when the heart pumps blood out to the body. Diastolic blood pressure (DBP) is the lowest pressure when the heart is resting and filling with blood.
โฌ๏ธ The Upside: We think this is great news for the industry. Trying to continuously monitor blood pressure via a wearable device has been the holy grail for many startups. other startups in the space includes startups like Valencell and Blumio. There is a major opportunity for those startups to value a big market as long as the level of accuracy of those devices is high. Of note, the global blood pressure monitoring devices market size was estimated at $4.5B in 2022 and is projected to expand further at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.4% from 2023 to 2030.

โ โSamsung could copy this Apple Watch design feature for the Galaxy Watch 6 | Via : Wareable
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 is being tipped to feature a slimmer bezel and bigger display than its predecessor. The latest rumor, courtesy of renowned tipster Ice Universe, indicates the next Samsung smartwatch will offer a very different design to theย Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro - and one much more akin to the Apple Watch.ย The leaker suggests that Samsung will bump the display size from 1.4 inches (on the 44mm Galaxy Watch 5) to 1.47 inches for the Galaxy Watch 6 series.ย
Presumably, as well, such a change would also have an even greater visual impact on the smaller version of the upcoming Galaxy Watch 6 - expected to be around 40mm.
โฌ๏ธ The Upside: We believe that Samsung needs to be careful here. They need to keep coming up with unique designs for their smartwatch offering. Otherwise they could face a situation similar to what happened with the Galaxy Smartphones many years ago when Samsung got accused of copying the iPhone.
